Highlights

Lots of new, legal trail segments on the mountain and, therefore, many interesting ways to ride it. Certainly possible to do more than 8 miles without repeating sections over and over.

Link this up to the Hogback/Dinosaur Ridge and Matthew Winters via the Zorro Trail. Accessed from the West side Parking lot off of Rooney Rd. Makes a fun 20 mile (+/-) figure eight loop.

Also, it is - or at least was - the one park open to night riding. Try it on the 4th of July sometime. Awesome! Especially the Bandimere show. You'll be startling folks all the way back to the parking lot as you descend afterwards.

How about a lower loop that circumnavigates the entire park someday? The north side is lacking access. Good for the hundreds of deer that call the place home, I suppose.

This trail is pretty good for single speed too, not terribly steep or technical in most places.

Current Conditions

snow still covering trails on top, trails on the bottom south west side are unrideable. Fire road is in good shape, but covered with snow at top.
